Italy has set up a website that gives general information on trafficking in human beings (THB), including for labour exploitation. Registered NGOs and local authorities can share information on a secure area of the website.

Visit the website

The site offers news, surveys and information on events and conferences. The site also hosts information on awareness campaigns on THB, both in Italy and all over Europe. A section of the site is devoted to national and international legislation and jurisprudence with penal and administrative judgements.

Secure area for registered NGOs

Registered NGOs and local authorities managing emergencies, assistance, protection and social inclusion projects for victims of human trafficking can share information in a secure area of the website. This information feeds into the so-called SIRIT database (Sistema Informatizzato di Raccolta Informazioni sulla Tratta), a computerised system for the collection of information on trafficking in human beings. SIRIT gathers all information on victims of human trafficking who enter the protection projects.

The Department for Equal Opportunities of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers is responsible for the website.
